Handcrafted to the highest standards, the art of bone inlay Furniture has its roots in the royal palaces of Rajasthan, India. This captivating craft is unique to the region and embodies a tradition passed down through generations. Practiced primarily in Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaipur, each piece takes 3 to 4 weeks to transform into a distinctive work of art.
The intricate process of creating these pieces enhances their beauty and adds depth to the story behind each unique design. Understanding how they are made allows us to appreciate the craftsmanship and heritage woven into every creation.
STEP 1- The initial stage of the bone inlay furniture process involves crafting the wooden frame of the product. This frame is constructed from wood, while the rest of the structure is made from high-quality MDF. MDF is chosen for our inlay products because it handles fluctuations in heat and humidity better than solid wood. If we used an entirely wooden frame, it would expand and contract with changing weather conditions, potentially leading to cracks in the exquisite inlay work.

STEP 2- Each piece of bone or mother-of-pearl shell is meticulously added to the frame in a detailed pattern. This process is entirely handcrafted, with our skilled artisans adhering to a design while infusing their unique touches and personality into each piece. This careful attention to detail not only highlights the beauty of the materials but also tells a story through the craftsmanship, making each piece a distinctive work of art.

STEP 3- The resin is mixed by hand, allowing us to use any Pantone color of your choice. Once prepared, it is poured over the product, filling the gaps between the inlay pieces. The surface is then carefully sanded down, revealing the beautifully carved inlay beneath the resin.

STEP 4- After the resin has cured, the surface is meticulously sanded to reveal the beautifully detailed inlay beneath. This step enhances the visibility of the designs and prepares the piece for the final touches.

STEP 5- The final quality control stage is meticulously conducted to ensure that every piece meets our high standards. After this thorough inspection, the product undergoes a final polish and varnishing process, enhancing its luster and protecting the surfaces. To seal everything beautifully, a layer of wax is applied, providing an added shield and giving the piece a polished finish. This careful attention to detail ensures that each item is not only stunning but also durable for years to come.

STEP 6-An extra-large, sturdy wooden box is carefully crafted for packaging to ensure maximum protection of the product. This durable design eliminates any risk of breakage, guaranteeing safe and secure delivery right to your doorstep.
